Review #18
BOOK: The Day After Roswell
AUTHOR: Col. Philip J. Corso (Ret.) with William J. Birnes
PUBLISHER: Simon & Schuster (Pocket Books)
COPYRIGHT: 1997 Rosewood Woods Productions, Inc.
I will admit that most UFO books do not impress me, this book however,
impressed me in the extreme. Col. Corso, as a U.S. military officer is
very convincing in his portrayal of his involvement in the investigation
and subsequent developement of the technologies taken from the alien craft
which crashed at Roswell.
Here is a timeline of the developement of alien technology which the author
hints at as having given us fiber optics and other new technologies.
Col. Corso gives us dates, times and names names in the investigation,
cover-up and developement of these technologies, which include the laser,
the intergrated circuit and other supposedly new technologies.
Here Col. Corso documents the 'other cold war', the one with the aliens.
It would appear that America was worried that the aliens would set up a
base on the moon and consequently developed a project called Project Horizon.
There are some unclassified documents in the appendix. Col.Corso also states
that there were alien bodies recovered at Roswell and they so confounded the
medical personell that it was postulated that they were humanoid robots capable
of travel through vast distances of space or even time.
If you tend to scoff at aliens as I did then this book will give you pause.
Col.Corso has a distinquished career in the military and in politics serving
on MacArthur's staff and Eisenhower's national security council. He also
served under Senator Eastman and Senator Thurmond on their staffs.
If you love the alien mysteries and conspiracy theories you will love this
book. I can whole heartedly recommend it.
RATING: 5
ADVICE: Aquire ( most frightening UFO book I have read. )
