BOOK: A Witch's Guide To Faery Folk

AUTHOR: Edain McCoy
PUBLISHER: Llewellyn Publications
COPYRIGHT: 1994 Edain McCoy

This work is delightful! I loved it!
The book is filled with tons of faery lore and information for
witches, novices and faery lover's.
McCoy leads us to all the information we can use on faerys, use
and delighting in, being the main object of this work.
Now, I don't mean use as in being used, but in helping the witch
with her/his magickal workings. For those of us who just love faerys
it is an absolute must read. Here we are taught how to acknowledge and respect
the faery folk as is their due.
We are introduced to the magickal world of faeries and told of their
nature, habits and dispositions. The folklore is looked at from the
perspective of many cultures around the world. The similarities and differences
are looked at and an attempt is made to reconcile some of the differences.
Then, we are shown how to find faeries, as well as some herbs and teas
which may facilitate the opening up to the faery realm.
McCoy explains how to protect ourselves from mischevious or downright
malevolent faeries and leads us through a guided meditation to establish
contact with the faery realm on the astral plane.
We are shown how to work with faeries and faery energy as an aid to
rituals and spellcraft with potent examples and words of wisdom.
Also, we are guided on how to create our own astral faery to aid
us in our works and daily lives.
Included is a dictionary of 230 known faery beings, their appearence,
disposition, how to contact and a general bio of each being.
I do not think I can do justice to this work here, it just has to
be read for the true delight to come through.
I highly recommend this work to all witches and faery lovers alike!

RATING: 5
