BOOK: A Century of Spells
AUTHOR: Draja Mickaharic
PUBLISHER: Samuel Weiser
COPYRIGHT: 1988 Draja Mickaharic

This is an excellent resource for the pagan and occultist.
I love this kind of book, straight and to the point. The author
has included every type of spell you can imagine and some you
never knew existed, at least, in written form.

In this work you will find a spell for every need. The topics
cover a broad range of the art. A snapshot of the table of
contents: Protection Spells, Reversing Spells, Water Spells,
Incense Spells, Spells using Oils, Herbs, Spells of Obeah and
Wanga, Spoken, Written and Miscellaneous Spells. A reading list
and index are included. The spells come mainly from the Voodoo
and Obeah belief system being spells for the ritual washing
of the house, self, and worship room. Also, spells for luck, protection,
defense, love, to punish enemies and unfaithful lovers. Spells from other
traditions are given such as, Jewish, Islamic, Yoruba and even
older cabalistic occult writings. The spells in the herb section
cover all the common herbs available today. The oils and incense spells
use the name brand oils and incenses of the Voodoo and Santeria traditions
which can be found in occult shops catering to those traditions.

At 150 pages it is densely packed with information for the novice
as well as the seasoned practitioner of magick. I found it an easy read
and very informative. I would recommend this work to beginners as well
as to experienced practioners.Definetly a worthwhile asset for the
occult library.

RATING: 4

ADVICE: Acquire (very good for beginners.)
